No fancy strategy. Comment by Havsoga As an ilvl destructolock this was rather easy. First bossfight was the only straining part, of course. Kil'jaeden's cunning helped me maintain the rotations, but I don't think it necessary if you prefer other talents.

Had to use "Flames of Xoroth" once to revive my voidlord, but my soulstone went unspent throughout the raid. Gruul was a nukefest and went down in a minute or two. Comment by TheAztec soloed this as a ilvl ret paladin, sacred shield is best to have in here as it protects you while your being feared, morphed, and horrified to trash Comment by Morbius Soloed this with my 85 DK in item level gear. I did it in blood spec. The strategy for Maulgar is to kill Olm the summoner first because the Horror he casts doesn't break when you take damage.

Polymorph does break with damage. Then kill the other 3. The order isn't critical. I usually kill the mage next then the priest then the shaman. Finally finish off Maulgar. For Gruul it's just a tank and spank. You can safely ignore his abilities. Comment by rawford solo'd this as a ilvl human ret pally, on the 1st boss, used guardian and full burn when first pulled, bubbled on the 1st polymorph, then used every man for himself on the second polymorph.

Comment by ilvl guardian druid, just had to use some damage mitigation. Used berserk then son of ursok to burn down olm first. Once he was dead I killed the healer and the rest just fell quickly with some aoe.

I tried this at level 88 with a much lower ilvl and the fears got me killed so I waited until 90 to try again. Pretty straight forward once you eliminate the fears.

Comment by laserbeamdream The first fight was trivial on my Frost Mage. I was feared once, but that was reset by AT. After I just had to spam Ice Lance. Comment by Soloed this as a ret paladin lv I just focused on killing Maulgar and ignored his four annoying companions. They don't aggro when you start beating up Gruul who was a piece of cake.

Comment by Vyndra Coordinates to the entrance are I sort my comments by "newest," so I don't go by outdated advice, and spent a long time looking in the comments for the coordinates, but had no luck.

Comment by shortyarse Just did this on my prot pally. Once the healer was dead it was cake Boss actually went down before Olm and the other dude. Bottom line if you're not DPS spec, spank the healer first. Comment by cutternc Just did this as a Destruction Lock.

Cake walk. Still killed Olm first just because the horrify is a pain in the buttocks. As previously stated Gruul is fire and forget. No risk of dying at any time on either of the bosses. Comment by portal even at current content this raid was a cake walk. Comment by Ozzkat Soloed as a level 79 retribution paladin with ease. No special defenses necessary, just tank 'n spank. Thought I'd share if you'd like to go for your mogs early!

Comment by adjensen Coordinates to entrance are Raid Entrances of The Burning Crusade. Please keep the following in mind when posting a comment: Your comment must be in English or it will be removed. Comments Comment by This raid instance is located in the northeast section of the Blade's Edge Mountains. Comment by shieldb The trash in Gruul's lair what little of it there is is on an hour respawn. Comment by It should be noted that the tier 4 pants and shoulders are obtained from this instance. They do not directly drop but are obtained by turning in other BoP items that drop.

Much like the way the ZG gear is obtained. Comment by Jamzo Can you just walk in to this instanse? Comment by Fogh The trash mobs in Gruul's lair can be pretty hard Comment by No attunments needed and that is damn good thing. Comment by What's the "Raid Lockout"? Comment by It would be fun if it was a attunement for this raid according to me, and that would be like killing all of the sons of Gruul to get pieces of the key or something.

It would go more in the roleplaying spirit. Comment by Gimlyly Quick question, and please answer before -'ing into oblivion Comment by We attempted this Raid last night on my server, PuG of 25 people, groups were not put together all that well. We couldn't even get passed the first monster in the dungeon, everyone left pretty quick.

Comment by This is the shortest 25 man raid for now. It has like 30 trash mobs and thats all. It takes hours depending on the guild's expirience and gear mostly.

Most guilds raid it after Karazhan and Zul'Aman. Comment by Actually this isn't quite hard if you know how to tank both ways. That is: as a mage tank and ofcourse the classic warr tank In some conditions Gruul may seem more easier than Maulgar.

When I first tryed to down Maulgar It was like it was impossible we tryed it about times but we failed. Actually the raid members were pretty well geared What I'm Trying to say is Maulgar is a bit more strategic. S: You shouldn't even try going to Gruul's Lair with a so called "pug" group because the members who you find on the "Who" tab that is found in the "Social" tab are most likely "newbies".

But anyways good luck with killing the moderately overpowered bosses! Comment by I run kara weekly, then just did this. Comment by shawarmakriger What is the difficulty for this encounter? Like Karazhan-on-farm-gear, or better? Thanks in advance. Comment by Wariu how long this instance takes in hours?
